Topaz Isabelle
This is the worst case we have had so far. On her coggins, taken 6 months ago, she was beautiful

1-21-10 Isabelle is only 11 years old, but her owners are saying that she is no longer able to put on weight due to age. We have been asked by the sheriff's department doing the investigation to document her progress. If we can get weight on her, they will be charged. So we are taking, and posting, plenty of pictures. However, due to their graphicness we are not displaying them here where you might see them unprepared. If you click the link, be warned, they are not happy pictures. We also have more detail on her rescue under this link.

2-11-10 UPDATE! It's been three weeks and already you can see a difference in her overall appearance. Also, her surgery has been scheduled. Click the link for more details.

Obvi

1-16-10 is an 8 yr old registered paint from the Bushnell area. His registered name is Obviously A Star. His sire is Obvious Conclusion, and his grand sire is Obvious. The woman told me she has owned him since he was a year old, but stated that her daughter hadn't been taking care of him while she (the mother) was out of town, and this is what she found when she got back.

"Doc" Holiday

1-8-10 Doc is a 17 year old, 17h boy from Lakeland. When we got him home, he was covered in burrs, and had a few cuts on him where they say he had got tangled in their fence. I ended up cutting his mane off, the burrs were just too tangled. It took about two hours to pull them out of his coat. He just stood there.

Sunday

Is a registered 5 yr old Saddlebred. Her owners got an unexpected job transfer to Colorado and could not keep two horses, so they parted with her. Unfortunately I don't have before pictures, my camera was down.:(

4-15-09 - This group of rescues were brought in because the woman financially couldn't afford to feed them, nor had the proper home for them. The horses were staying in a small fenced in area, approximately 10'x25', that hadn't seen a cleaning in months. All mud and feces. They had no shelter and only wet gnat invested hay to eat. All have now been adopted. Take a look at them on Happy Tails.
